It's another departure day. I'm now officially half way through my journey.
As I mentioned in a previous blog, I regret not having planned more time in Seville. I rushed to see as much as I could see in 48 hours. Seville demands and deserves much more attention than this. It is truly a magical city with what appears to be neverending sunlight and street life.
It's 9 am, the church bells are ringing.
I'm a little unshaved after many days of neglect, and it's time to change that ... prepare my bags ... have a quick breakfast of juice, bread/jam and coffee ... and depart for the bus station at 11:30.
Destination Córdoba.
Did you know?
It has been estimated that in the 10th century Córdoba was the most populous city in the world, and under the rule of Caliph Al Hakam II it had also become a centre for education. By the 11th century under Islamic rule, Cordoba had become the intellectual centre of Europe. Today it is a moderately sized modern city. The historic centre was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
