Had dinner at Branca last evening ....

... and we won't be returning.  This Argentine-inspired eatery was noisy!  The servings were overpriced and small.  The pulpo, provoleta and blood sausage appetizers were tasty.  The empanadas were no closer to real Argentine empanadas than Chinese dumplings.  The shortribs were good, made especially good by the chimichurri.  Feeling happy after 4 of us (Margaret, Chris, Freds) drank 2 bottles of malbec, but whoa ... not happy about the bill!

The company was great, even if we did have to shout at each other to be heard above the music.  Will have a quiet dinner at home this evening.
